Guests must: (1) read our entire listing and house rules section, (2) sign our rental agreement shortly after booking & ID must be provided, (3) submit refundable security deposit hold*, and (4) full payment prior to check-in.

*Security deposit hold required of $1,000.00. Deposit hold to be processed by host on guest's credit card or other method mutually agreed by the host and the gusts. Deposit hold will be taken out 2 days prior to check-in and returned in full 2 days after check out, absent damages/violations, if any.

Once the total amount of the guests exceeds 10, pricing of our home is on a per guest basis (starting from guest #11) and applies to the entire reservation length (regardless if some guests are only visiting, won't be sleeping over on certain nights, etc.) - we ask all guests to enter the total number of guests that will enter our home when booking, to see accurate pricing and avoid price changes for additional guests added after booking.

There are cameras on the exterior of the home. They are motion activated, record video and audio, and are active during reservations. There is also a decibel monitoring device located in the home. This is a smart device that measures decibel levels only and allows us to respond to extremely loud and sustained volumes. It does NOT record conversation, it only measures decibel levels. This helps us to avoid unauthorized events / parties. Our goal is for our guests and neighbors to both have an enjoyable experience!

Please note that this is a row house with a separate basement level unit so you may see us / others staying in the lower-level unit.

The house is a historic DC rowhome that is over 120 years old (built in 1900). We try to preserve as much history/character of the house. Please note the fireplace in The Victorian Palace does not work as it is about 100 year old. We ask that you please take care to preserve the unique history of this historic DC rowhome while you enjoy your stay in DC!

Most of the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the bigger side as the house is about 3,000 sq ft.

🚙 Parking

We offer a free garage parking spot in an Apartment Building close to the townhouse. Walking to the parking garage takes about 3 minutes. Please note the parking space is about 74’’ wide, so it is most suitable for a compact car. If your vehicle does not fit in the parking space, there is usually street parking available in the area. Pay attention to all parking signs to avoid tickets!

Please note the host is not responsible for any damage or fines (due to violations of the building’s parking rules or the city’s parking regulations) as a result of guest’s use of the parking space provided by the host or street parking.

🤫 Quiet Hours

10PM-7AM: You MUST keep noise to a minimum from 10pm to 7am. As a row house the walls are shared with the neighbors. Noise can travel easily, and we are in regular communication with neighbors. We request guests be respectful of the neighbors and quiet hours.
